Taking Care of Existence

Some seekers think that Enlightenment is the end. Just a blinding light after the looping film of life runs out. But lo and behold, observe that life carries on the same as it ever did. You sit on the same toilet but your perspective has been transformed. Poo still smells but now it has a sparkle – a certain je ne sais quoi.

Enlightenment represents the end of your personal existence and seeking life. There are no levels, expansions or unfoldments after that. You are done. You are finito.

But because life carries on then so do you. And while you are complete on the inside and the world seems perfect on the outside, something invites you to engage. Life is perfect but incomplete. Life requires you to participate. This is why upon Enlightenment, former seekers become guides instead of disappearing into a puff of smoke.

After Enlightenment comes a condition of no-choice; you are compelled to be involved in life. Inactivity is a perverse fantasy dreamed up by the fitfully restless. In living there are so many choices. What is the best use of time and energy? Is there a design that we can consciously connect to?

Some seekers, having thrown off religious systems, have settled for moral nothingness, a life without imperatives, one of non-involvement. But every time they look out of the window, life invites them to come out and play. And it’s a serious game, one of life and also death.

This game of life has three components – involving yourself, others and the environment. At stake is peace, health and happiness for you, humanity and the planet. The ideal is to move around the playing board, progressively improving circumstances in all sectors of life. You will probably die trying. But you will be back, either resurrected or reincarnated. No one is allowed to leave the game.

Not getting Enlightened is a supreme act of defiance – an unwillingness to play the game of life. If you want to know how to play this game then join this online Enlightenment Transmission Intensive. It may never be quite so available again.
