There is a kind of spirituality - you can find it in popular books and stirring speeches. Unfortunately, it's not rare and you might have been infected by it without realising it.
The good news is that you can be decontaminated and inoculated - if you want. Or, like Lou Cipher in The Matrix, who sold his freedom for a plate of beef, you can go retire from the spiritual scene and never be heard of again.
Who knows maybe that is the right move for you and could even get you enlightened? After all, enlightenment is highly unpredictable and the unexpected move might do the trick, right? Wrong! In your dreams! That's the problem with dreaming. You have to stay asleep to do it.
Books are full of dreams. A dream is anything which is not real. Dreams are highly alluring and preclude any contact with reality. To dream, a cinema like illusion is required - light is shut out and everything is covered by a screen and curtains.
Getting to the point: pretty words and spiritual powder puff poetry are not the real thing. Never could be, never will be. I speak as a former spiritual comics addict. Fortunately, I have been clean for several decades. And, who knows, maybe detoxing my mind from spiritual junk contributed to my enlightenment, or on the other hand, maybe it did not. Different philosophies, like camcorder miniDV tape brands, don't mix well, in fact, they produce gunk which slows down the inner mechanism and inevitably closes, not opens, the doors of inner perception.
Well, it's hard to fully appreciate this dramatic rhetoric unless you have fallen into The Gunky Hole On The Spiritual Road. It's even tougher to get out. But "there but the Grace Of God go I".
Getting closer to the point: Real spirituality is vivid, palpable and invigorating. So, also, I hear, is v1@gr@, so don't get duped (and don't get spam-filtered). And, like sex, has very little to do with words and a whole lot to do with experience (there are always phone lines for the contrarians).
In this Sunday's online class I will:
- Point out the differences between real and sham spirituality.
- Explain how to diagnose whether your problems are related to conceptual misunderstanding and unrealistic fantasies.
- Introduce you to raw breathtaking spirituality, which once tasted means no more eating cardboard since you now know that you want the cornflakes inside the box more than the box itself - and, of course, I will show you how to find them.
This Sunday and every Sunday (almost - online classes go offline first 2 weeks of April for teaching in London over Easter. Feel free to visit London).

But that are some practical details that you should test NOW, and well before class, to ensure that you are in the front row and comfortably tuned in. It's all rather simple. Even a Windows 98 user can tune in. And your PC probably has everything that you need if you have listened to music or watched film online.
You are recommended to install Firefox browser and Real_Alternative - if you have not installed them already. Install your embedded browser players only when your browser is closed.
1. You need a media player (see list below). Install them all or find alternatives
2. Only if you don't have one already, you need to register a username account with daveoshana.com (free and simple)
3. Activate your account via the account activation email link (check your spam box or use the contact form if you don't receive one)
4. Test the media players, to see if you can hear whatever is playing now (probably the most recent AUDIOcast)
5. Be logged in 1 hour before class when we switch audio streams and see which player plays best.
6. Get a tall drink. Relax and listen. You're in!
Embedded Media Players
We recommend Firefox browser and have had good results with light non-commercial players like QuickTime Alternative and Real_Alternative.
You can also use Windows Media Player, QuickTime and Real Player for live classes. It seems that different people have different results with the various media players.
Installation note: you have to completely close all of your your internet browser windows *before* installing a player.
Alternative Media Players
The following non-commercial media players may work better than the commercial originals. They are light, tight and fit - and don't install rubbish.
QuickTime Alternative and Real_Alternative
Windows Media Player
Windows Media Player Firefox Plugin
WMP for MAC
Quicktime Player - reportedly Windows QT only works with live stream, not 24 hour broadcast
Windows Real Player (might not work in Internet Explorer)
MAC Real Player
Linux Real Player
Old PC, Windows NT4.0 / 98 / ME / 2000
Real Player, Gold 10.5
